Backstage Beauty ZANG TOI A/W 2014 #NYFW Zoya Nails, BeautybyRudy, Eiji Salon/René Furterer

Lincoln Center/NYC
ZANG TOI was relaxed enough before his runway show- and this- before his racks of clothes arrived (yikes)…that he took the time to introduce media hovering about backstage--- to his beauty team.

A duo of nail looks-pictured above---half moon combo of black (Art Deco Goddess) and brilliant jade green (Peony Princess). AND---black glitter look using black glitter from a crafts store-that's a bit bigger in size than the typical nail art glitter.
Black Glitter-buy at a crafts store….
Words and laughs…all around-with the 411 on the collaborative process that goes into a head to toe runway looks for his Fall/Winter 2014 collection:

black glitter placed right atop 2 coats of black nail polish-lots of texture

ZOYA NAILS' Creative Director Rebecca Isa and the designer conjured up an amazing custom color  of emerald green-based upon textiles secured back in November-prior to this February outing.

Art Deco Goddess (black), Shanghainese Songstress (red), Peony Princess (green)-trio of polishes in the gift bag-matched color palette of the collection
Designer Zang Toi and Rebecca Isa prior to the show...

Zang Toi makes a point….

Zoya Nails for Zang Toi-half moon-nail----

Zoya Art Deco Goddess and glitter-bejewled nails look great with the classic Hollywood glam makeup-red burgundy lips,  black cat's eye, fluttery eyelashes

Zoya Nails- black Art Deco Goddess-two coats then glitter=a color that looks great on all skin tones

Modern nail art can be a sophisticated edition to more classic attire...

Beauty by Rudy's Rudy Miles…told all the makeup was inspired by Shanghai-with a custom burgundy red lipstick a focal point.

lipstick applied with a brush

"Clean" cat's eye liquid- Inglot black eyeliner-drawn right above the eye-flared up slightly at the ends---with illuminating pearly white highlighter under the brow

Chanel Foundation-luminous flawless glow
Rimmel Scandal Eyes mascara in black

groomed brows-with defined arch, liquid black eyeliner-extended out and up

Lucas Papaw Moisturizer-we see the backstage -at most of the shows

Klorane Floral Gel-gently removes all that makeup models walked in with
mascara brush was bent-for better lower lash coverage right at the roots

flesh tone eye pencil lined the water line-brightens and opens up the eyes-look bigger too.

The chignon hair styles created by the Eiji Salon for René Furterer-was impressively crafted using Fantasy Fashion Hair extensions-curled, twirled and pinned into a very stylized 'do.

Serious hold-via hairspray and hair wax.

Hair all started straight and smooth-- gathered in a pony tail in the back-low and off center-with pieces left out-to frame the face-with a soft wave (via a curling barrel)…and wrap around the elastic…shaped and pinned. It was complicated.

clips and hair spray held the look-right before the show

Zang Toi changes into a tux…for the show

a white tape-…marks where the models stand

Zang Toi's faithful ladies filled the audience----giving a standing "O" for  day-to evening wear  that is exactly what they want to buy. Zang Toi knows his customer
