LANYU NYFW A/W 2017

Skylight Clarkson Square, Gallery 1                  One of the first shows we attended was by Internationally recognized Chinese-born designer Lan Yu’s namesake brand  LANYU    with the runway debut of the  Fall/Winter 2017  collection. Morgane Le Faye SS'16 #NYFW

Hudson Studios/NYC Sometimes fashion doesn't have to be an intellectual statement. Modern beautiful clothes that flatter---may not have the critics clucking ---but designers-particularly women designers...just seem to 'get' their clientele. Case in point: Morgane Le Faye is a seasoned NYC-SOHO based fashion house with romance, elegance and a dose of mystery embedded in all the collections we remember ever seeing. (And yup-we have a few purchased separates too-they all withstand style's dismissible trends and are the feel good pieces we love to wear). As we ' explained'  to another attendee at the recent Spring 2016 show---think= "Game of Thrones" sensuality and the power of its female leads--- attired in Morgane Le Faye ...if they went through a time machine. The show-focused editorial collection of solid colors- titled "Everything Blooming"-featuring sheer chiffons, organza, silks and cotton-  skirts, blouses and our favs-the dres...
