Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Lincoln Center OUDIFU by fashion designer Zhuliang Li was not a name we were familiar with but we sure got clued in PDQ --- the beautiful first looks-a Ivory/Brown Elephant print in flowing silk with matching hammer pants-crop top ensemble-and a stunning silk elephant -sky blue print short sleeve dress…setting viewers up for a luxurious RTW runway show. The wonderful summery palette at first- reminded us of Amboseli-the elephant sanctuary in Kenya---but the sophisticated silhouettes-reminded us more of the polished master Giorgio Armani (an inspiration)…which goes a long way to explaining why this Shanghai based fashion designer has 200 RETAIL OUTLETS in China .
