“We are taken on a sensual journey which is determined by hundreds of feelings. We feel the heat, the light, and the cold, the wind, and the darkness…”
When we first caught sight of MARCEL OSTERTAG's work at last summer’s Berlin Fashion Week- he earned a prestigious award against stiff competition...based on that outing...and we were impressed.
And our NYC fashionista friends were really impressed too.
The Spring 2010 Runway show was really lovely, divided into upscale casual daytime (beige, sand dusty pink, green, khaki light toned palette) and evening (dark black with glowing embellishments of Crystallized™ Swarovki Elements) ensembles.
The printed diaphanous (we assume silk) fabrics were the highlights for us.
As in a dotted animal pattern mixed up with a cobra – like print on a sheer textile--- used in a tunic, blouse, frock and a long dress, accessorized by elegant satchels and oversized beaded necklaces.
There were many wearable looks for office workers as well as for the leisurely sort-
...in a beige well tailored cropped and harem style pants,
...and mini dresses with a light weight spring coat…that makes it all season-less dressing, using silk jerseys and lined linen.
A few green pieces…a horizontal stripped skirt with a swingy cropped jacket, and a silk parachute type pants with matching sleeveless top added some color to the largely neutral tone collection.
We can see on any woman- living in Rome or Miami or Kuala Lumpur for that matter...in these glamorous clothes.
FABULOUS LEATHER SATCHELS TOO
