Empire Hotel, NYC

Across the street from the Lincoln Center fashion tents...the Empire Hotel was celebrating its good fortune...as in real estate...location-location-location. Spill-over presentations, heavy bar scenes...probably makes their year!
Up top, the DAILY SUITES hosted several different brands that had media types clamoring for free manis by Essie...and mini-facials and make-up, courtesy of former fab model herself, Cindy Crawford...now an entrepreneur who we see rule the infomercial airways.
Here, was a meaningful Fashion Week launch of her
Meaningful Beauty® line...a seven product collection of anti-aging beauty goodies, crafted in conjunction with French Doctor to the stars, Dr. Jean-Frnacois Sebaugh
A five step system-(cleanse, protect, repair, revitalize, purify) with the right products...is the basis of Meaningful Beauty®-with the sizzle courtesy of a powerful anti-oxidant from a melon. This active ingredient-at least we assume it is-is in the products in meaningful doses that are non-irritating too.

Attendees could tweet a beauty suggestion...ours was have your make-up done by a pro...Maria Maio, a make-up artist/eyebrow specialist in particular |
The packaging is very nice...and we def looked better after our make-over than before.
Downstairs, a store front was magically transformed into the amNEWYORK Style Lounge...stocked with yummy treats and importantly, coffee(!) hospitably hosted by the Queens based
R Cano Events company. Fashion Week was probably a relief for these guys-as these two were part of the insta-army team -who-we were told- numbered 300 people in all--- hauled up- to serve up Chelsea Clinton's wedding-including the dinner feast and after party eats. No sleep----either.

Always with a smiles on---this nyc based catering company can handle the pressure, deliciously. Plus-these guys are booked for the WOrld Cup in Brazil. We are jealous. |
Also we had a lovely chat with out pal
Ricardo Rojas, an Argentine native with a posh Madison Ave salon who was London bound- to turn up the drama on BAFTA bound tresses. We intro'ed his vanity worthy
brush set last season---
Back at the Tents...we went backstage to catch the final glimpse of the hair do's by Danilo for the Wall Group--- for the L.A.M.B representation...a flirty teased up, long locks...sex kitten look--- that referenced the 60's...with a bit of punk attitude byway of the 90's...no surprise given that the line is the creative vision of Gwen Stefano.
|
Redken pumped up the volume... |
Back across the street-we ran through the suite hosting the LIA SOPHIA brand- an affordable-stylish jewelry line-that's- what-we gathered-sold in a marketing plan similar to Tupperware...hostesses and guests at home parties...
