WALTER designed by Walter Baker is a NY based collection of contemporary separates for that urban hip, globe trotting gal...who just really looks stylishly hip wherever she goes. With a bit of uptown polish...and downtown edge.
We got a sneak peek before the actual presentation (really a jam packed party, later that night)---and chatted with the congenial designer himself.

Baker was particularly jazzed about his jackets this season---and use of autumnally appropriate textiles/fabrics including a stretch leather used in want it now skinny pants...

Menswear inspired silhouettes dominated the outerwear pieces, crisply tailored and wonderfully made we might add...but there were items that were decidedly feminine too-including this pretty peplum shaped outfit with lace inserts and a striking tiny black peter pan style collar---in a deep peacock blue. Sweet and sexy.
When we asked for a key piece of the season-this terrific semi structured leather blazer jacket was grabbed...timeless and always modern...a keeper.

Other key pieces-these images courtesy of the designer...including the debut of a line of handbags , clutches, cross body and chain bags...that work perfectly with the clothes-modern, mixed textures and strong geometric shapes.
