Venexiana by Kati Stern Backstage Hair/Make-up

LINCOLN CENTER NYC-Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Fall/Winter 2012

Venexiana's couture-like IRREVERENT RENAISSANCE collection was dramatic...we think of the ornate evening attire for a weekend party in some far-flung European locale...with a requisite stop in such romantic cities as Venice.

Hairstyles were crafted by Philip Pelusi (Ceo and founder), Jeffrey Reitz (Creative Director) and their team--- using hard working, Tela Beauty Organics hair styling products-a flawless combo of science nd nature, full of healthy ingredients (!!!)

---and IMO-the looks could not have been more perfect....with a deep center part, crimped hair,  Empire topknots and braids circling the models' heads...mimicked the cascading lights of  glittery chandeliers.

Multiple products used-to create the multi-textured layers---included USDA Certified Organic TELA BEAUTY ORGANICS Smooth Operator Blow Out Serum with Quinoa Protein and Philip Pelusi RefresHair® Dry Shampoo- a no build-up, hair reviver.

hair crimper

It took the pros about 25 minutes per gal to get it right!

Make-up by Obsessive Compulsive-acclaimed for their Lip Tars ...and a complete line that we have reviewed prior...at The Make Up Show

dark smokey eyes...

Jeffrey Reitz...gives hair a whirl-the height of the topknot has to be the same on all the models

What else-we always take a look-see to garner what else make-up pros use...Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Creme, Dr. Hauschka-a natural line of skin care, Weleda, Caudalie and Embroylisse.

The Hungarian born Kati Stern-has a rather striking hair-do herself....

...we were beyond impressed with the racks and racks of lush fabrics- hand made into red carpet drama...

Sourcing her fabrics from exclusive French and Italian textile houses...we couldn't take enough close-ups...

beading was stunning

Ballgowns and cocktail dresses were show stoppers-the anti-thesis of minimalism...wearing one of these almost makes wearing jewelry an afterthought.
