ERYN BRINIÉ Spring/Summer 2011

NYC

Words/Images Judith Ecochard

Contemporary clothing line ERYN BRINIÉ  vaguely conjures up a resident of some Scottish Island...though it originates in South Korea. The MO is Euro chic fused with an NYC spirit.

For Fall 2010, the looks were fitted very French gamine...with mix/match separates.

For the S/S 2011, the silhouettes are relaxed/ looser ----but with the same ease of blending into what's already wardrobe friendly.

This one shoulder dress is a work horse---from office to night out staple...under a blazer with some serious pumps---or with strappy sandals for a bit more glitz. Well done.

Jackets and this girly take on an anorak are E.B.'s strength---the trench above and all the jackets below are classics, made from quality fabric and with modern design elements that keep the spirit youthful.

With the fashion-forward types in mind, lots of romantic ruffles, blouse-y, softly gathered ruching details...rolled hems...and gentle pleats...no hard edges.

---on designs we felt still highlight gals' figures----but gives her some breathing room

Solid tones rule...the basic neutrals, a heather gray, light blush... and a very pretty sea blue...

Made well and---priced accessibly...we would slot it right below the costs of some of the  DKNY collections / above Club Monaco.
