“I love to tell a story…Fashion is such a colorful tale.”
-R.M.-
That’s what we thought as soon as we walked into the packed Presentation of Rebecca Moses' latest contribution to chic-dom under the HEART SOUL STYLE umbrella of lifestyle, home décor and apparel separates…
So this is what Madeline would wear if she and her internationally cast of giggling gal pals strolled les Rues de somewhere…out of uniform and out into the world.
Fabulousness was all over as the whimsical sets ---all drawn by Rebecca Moses…set the stages for models …
In actual locales as diverse as The Tuleries…Biarritz…By The Sea…Giza And The Pyramids…Eifel Tower…
To more ethereal far flung locales---Once Upon A Time
Les jeunes filles and older women will want this latest fusion of “affordability and fashion”---the ultra feminine prints---animal often with different patterns, polka dots, florals and stripes….
Paired with solids of neutral tones--- a warm opalescent ivories, terracotta desert tones…
To peonies, jades, citron, warm mauves, blushes---and black/white---a palette that won’t date itself.
The garments themselves ran the gamut of easy to wear, flattering silhouettes:
Slouchy cropped pants with loosely fitted jackets, comfy cardis over silk chemises, flirty frocks with little clutch coats…
A femme fatale evening gown with drop dead gorgeous draped cowl neck back…
A-line Town, pleated prints and cute Coquette Bubble skirts.
Fabrics looked expensive (silk blends, jerseys that drape beautifully ---but as with Rebecca Mose’s other latest ventures…the style comes accessibly.
When we ran into her, amidst the mobs of well wishers…all we could blurt out:
“WOW, we are so blown away by this...”
And this immensely elegant woman---an American living in Italy who gets the glamour and effortless style of Western Europe and the need of Americans for utilitarian separates…
Concurred.
