RISTO FALL 2011

Words/Images Judith Ecochard

RISTO BIMBILOSKI 's Fall 2011 was one of motion...

Shiny anorak type jacket, rousers with side stripes-thanks to menswear, womenswear never looked so good

White cuffs/collars-Parisian flair

Gold ear cuff pieces added to the sense of velocity

This collection took his customer from woodsy deer laden domiciles straight through to evenings out in the city...with an assist from mom's carefully curated closet.

We remember Risto for his sumptuous silk prints---and here the patterns reflected right back to those creatures that are commonly sited all over the Northeast...

Risto incorporated two main prints into shirts, trousers, a trench...

PLUS: Lots of nice wool overcoats...sharp tailored blazes, shorts and flounced and pencil skirts,

Some knits including cozy tunic length ..

And a nice use of cream beige in key separates...

Gold horn print

Nice!

including a winning slouchy trousers, knit top combo, held together nicely with a black leather belt.

Sophisticated ease.

LBD ALERT---Now a deep chocolate brown multi-textured dress...with geometric bands up front- thick shoulder straps, cutout back---edgy and sexy elegant.

A lot of the collection was shown with knee high socks...hence the daughter working her way through mom's wardrobe...we guess mom would prefer these items with textured stockings.
