rAna offered casual apparel in bright colors and prints for SPRING 2012... suited for "an active life with effortless style." Agreed. Men's and women's were divided into lifestyle and performance items-the latter made from more technical fabrics---but many of these pieces would work anywhere...as wardrobe workhorses.

Men's lifestyle pieces will transport any guy to some tropical island. The best-these breezy woven button-ups were inspired by vintage and textured fabrics---prAna style -made of organic natural or man-made fibers with Cuban cigar shirt styling. ($58-$75)
Performance-wise-the color blocking in the Quest Sleeveless $30 and Crew$35 are nice-and the fabric- a cotton/poy-breathes.
Hemp/organic cotton pants come in shorts too---with touch of spandex for stretch.

Women get assorted tops and bottoms in great color stories, we thought---including this Waterfall group of lush prints and in Deep Blues, Meadowbrook Green, black and white...and Coral and Lavendar themes too. Very pretty and really timeless,

Our top pick was this top made of Chakara (Supplex/Lycra Blend)-prAna's most technical fabric-great compression and shape retention, soft, super moisture management---and durable.
The styling is incredible---we thought of Herve Leger and Max Azria's latest for the legendary French designer...though no one here knew who we were talking about...
