PART II

Skincare got some love at this professional tradeshow...

And that makes sense---as even a make-up pro will tell you that healthy skin is the best make-up of all.

EMBRYOLISSE® is a make-up artists staple...we check out backstage at Fashion shows for years ---in New York and Berlin---and no matter what brand is sponsoring the show, the Lait-Crème Concentre (24-Hour Miracle Cream)---a multi-tasking make-up remover, primer, moisturizer, etc...is used.

Now with new packaging, more of this incredibly performing French line is available here via e-commerce (and at the emporiums Ricky's too).

The Green packaging-cleansers, Blue-for moisturizing, and Red for anti-aging ---is smart...and an easy way to figure out what's what.

Very popular at this trade show----besides the Lait-Crème Concentrè...($14-$25)

The rinse free Make-Up Remover/cleanser with softening  cornflower and gentle, soothing chamomile and toning witch hazel-Lotion Micellaire- $30

A-Flower Essence Rose Water...with orange blossoms and rose water=Eau de Beaute Rosamelis® $35

---and with new anti-aging serum packed with skn enhancing resveratrol grape polyphenols, moisturizing hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E---the Serum Anti-Age Redensifiant ($70)

AND all paraben free too.

Founded by Jane Wurwand, the Dermatolgica skincare has grown to around 80 skus by our count since its launch back in 1984.

Sold through dermatologists offices, select spas and of course, online, this collection--- really means to better the health of one's skins with targeted products for what ever skin ailment/type out is out there---anti-aging, redness, sensitive, oily prone, dry, combo skins, dermatitis, etc.

BONUS: Made without artificial fragrance and color, Mineral Oil, Pure Lanolin, Alcohol and Isopropyl Myristate---an oily alternative to oi free products, ahem.

At the show---the Daily Microfoliant was the best seller ($33) ...it's a very cool powder that even sensitive skin types can use---add water and apply all over the skin...it gets the gunk done.

ALSO----The PreCleanse $23---a fab plant based, deep cleansing oil that is so light---believe it or not...that emulsifies into a milky formula with water---cleaning skin like "a modern day cold cream." Gentle enough for the eye area too-it removes EVEN waterproof mascara without ripping out ones lashes.

Sue Devitt is a cult worshipped brand that is now in 60 Macy's coast-to-coast. The treatments  are oil free and blessed with moisturizing water lilly, orchid extract hyaluronic acid, and minerals.

A big draw...the silicone free primer that evens skin tones out and makes skin appear smoother.

FYI, plumping, healing blue algae is in a lot of the products including the SPF 30 Microquatic Blue $48 that's perfume free too.

And gel bronzers (SPF 40), Bronzing Pressed Powder, and Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye and Cheek Palette---from the Beausoleil Collection

Making it's debut at The Makeup Show---Yves St Laurent's uber high end make-up exhibit enjoyed brisk business with a staff that seemed surprised.

We weren't ---as the brand's clicking pen lightening cover-up Touche Eclat is an iconic staple.

One of the first to come out with this foundation that's brushed on in an all in one---hence the Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation---is very portable, and hence popular with the pros. Needless to say, for a luxury brand...stunning packaging.

HA HA----we think people were buying the goodies here for their own personal makeup kits.

Mineral makeup is now common place-we mean that in a good way---

AND Jane Iredale is one if the first brands made from pure, non-irritating mineral pigments.

At the show, eye shadows, and highlighters-in tick pencil forms--- were selling fast---and the packaging---with the three in one-solid compact is terrific.

Bronzers came that way too.
BONUS: No tlac, chemical preservatives, FD&C dyes, parabens or synthetic fragrances.

Viseart Professional Makeup hails from Paris---we have a vague memory of this foundation ---relaunching at the show.

Proof that fancy packaging is not needed...the HD tested matte finish, oil free, silicone free, brand new powder foundation is amazing...easy to put on, layer-able, super coverage. We tried some after a red inducing, facial treatment ---so we know it's good for sensitive skin. Even the derm's staff looked on in awe, as we applied the  foundation with our fingers in like a minute---and "it's like you had nothing done." SOLD.

There's also a compact powder HD-that's creamy and light $35...and a concealer for $27.

DINAIR® always had quite the crowd at their huge corner booth. They had a whole lot going on including airbrush for the face...and smart, smart, smart...stencils for the hair!!!!

And there were also hair extensions that tie in...glittery strings. We were told that these hair sparkling accessories are HUGE...and that gals get them done tied into holiday themes.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:

Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars...$13 saturated color that lasts.

Pigments...mix with moisturizer, add to creams...apply with a wet eye brush. True colors.
Anastaia Beverly Hills® is a stencil brow kit AND...amazing shadows and bronzers for that perfect brow that has a way of instantly giving one an anti-aging eyelift.

---basically one marks the three key points on one's eyebrows, tape up the stencil, and then fill in the stencil with powder or pencil...and set with gel. Easy.
A tip we learned...don't over tweeze underneath the brow...the shape it too "rounding." ANd tweezing above the brow is ok.

We also experienced the Cooling Eye Brightener that can be rolled over everywhere around and on the eyelid...with  instant de-puffers like green tea and caffeine.
