Fashion Week in New York started early ---and well.
At the midtown Audi showroom, the preview for the high end Gaspar Glove collection was staged with live models and in showcases.
Gaspar Gloves…is an editorial favorite... for those that may want to read the credits…they are attiring many hands/arms throughout the massive September issues.
And have really branched out from being exalted for MJ’s white glove.
For Spring 2011 we saw a lot of drivers gloves in pastel summery shades,
===perforated leathers, opera length gloves in rich solid colors...
tough studs and other details---more feminine like crochet cuffs.
Animal prints and textured leathers---still and probably always popular, as in classics.
The popular TouchTec® gloves that were introduced last season …are found on many styles this time out…
--including the terrific TouchTec® Audi driving glove…a partnership with the European car maker, that will be on sale in dealerships-mid October...as are the new Audi luxury vehicles with touch screens.
Also special---the hand painted gloves in buttery leather---
And our fav---the bold metal hardware (zippers, studs---quality/with heft metal in gold and silver tones)--on driving gloves and bracelet length--- that would pimp any ride---even a minivan…

We also thought these arm length gloves with glittery jewel embellishments…simply stunning.
FYI: Our host, Tibor Balazs told us the wash of the TouchTec® leathers---render the gloves waterproof and naturally anti-microbial---a happy circumstance as we told him we wear gloves all the time---when we take public transportation.
