WALTER Baker’s Spring 2010 Collection was filled with flirty colorful garments…
---we felt this outing was a tad tougher--- filled with ggrrrlll urban chic separates for those living in colder climes. Like the snowy mess that was taking place at the same times as this NYC show was going on.

All told there were 32 looks…
Our favored were the classic military influenced pieces ---as in a black gold trimmed jacket and dark green wool military coat with epaulettes (Looks # 1&5), and wearable Olive Charmeuse pants with matching Band coat (Look #9).
Edgy motorcycle jackets, and shearling vests also figured into the mix…as did day to night dresses, some in solids, some in prints.
There were also several modes of shorts in leather, silk and wool…a look we think is catching on now that it’s several seasons old…to be worn with leggings or tights. A silhouette for the young--- but possibly work appropriate, depending.
Backstage, Makeup artist/entrepreneur Napoleon Perdis created a “good girl/bad girl…feminine/masculine” face.
“Not to prime is a crime,” he noted…(Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Skin Primer).
Flawless skin also got that way via Boudoir Mist foundation that mimics what air brush foundation does…in an easy to use can. Stick Foundation---as a cover-up and as a contour for cheeks, and Camera Finish sheer powder--- were also used.
Eyes went all blue in various gradations…with lips a luscious gold (DeVine Goddess SMP).
And the peepers really popped with the just launched Mesmer-Eyes Mascara.
All makeup used is available on Napoleon Perdis.
