OHNE TITEL FALL/WINTER 2010-RTW & BACKSTAGE

Words, Images Judith Ecochard

Flora Gil and Alexa Adams’ label- Ohne Titel served up a thoroughly chic, wearable collection of dresses and separates.

A signature of theirs…and highlights for us as we have been following them for several seasons now…are the hand worked mesh with the delicacy of lace, buttery leather pieces, intricate light as air knitted fabrics, and excellent draped tailoring (with wool for Fall)…

And it all came wonderfully together in a modern collection influenced by 19th century shapes.

Pewter leather and knit jacket, pewter wide leg pant, pewter jacket, pewter leather belt over pewter leather and knit legging , pewter/black leather and net bootie

A “lean utilitarian silhouette” with old guard, military details ---is evident in every look (24 in all). But with mixed textiles …in neutral shades...like a pewter and moss leather and knit jackets, moss and black net leggings, and striking multicolor mesh dress paired with cool black leather and knit bootie …  the sophisticated attire left us thinking, oh yeah, this will sell out.

Well, no wonder the retailers are clamoring. They are just getting what we have known from day one.

Talented women designers who focus on the clothes…not the hype.

Fashion editors are a fickle bunch...after all they answer to their advertisers or conjure up pithy words of opinion to garner an audience.

Yet we think even the two - line tweeters with primo seats gave the collection two thumbs up.

BACKSTAGE:

The makeup = fresh and natural

Gucci Westman for Revlon used mat concealer on lips from the Revlon palette to neutralize the pouters…. then topped off with a pinky lip-gloss #710 Not Just Nudes.

Jimmy Paul for Bumble & Bumble blew the hair out straight with piece-y front sections.

The upshot…the models looked like they have nothing on …but of course they did.

BONUS: Cesare Paciotti Shoes= HOT!!!

what the models wore...and what most gals shlepped around in...ha ha.
