TALBOTS Holiday/Winter collection is so polished---
It is no surprise to us that this label--- that has been updating its apparel, accessories, footwear, marketing campaign---etc etc etc---for the past two years or so----
Is finally catching on with a younger demographic---yet--- still pleasing the fashion needs of it's traditional core customer of women. IMHO.
Who doesn't want to look pretty and presentable---no matter the occasion.
AFTER ALL---there is a reason we see our smartly stylish First Lady, Michelle Obama wearing Talbots on many, many occasions. Yeah-she would look great in anything----but given the public scrutiny---wardrobe decisions under a microscope demand worthy tailored separates/feminine dresses etc.
It's a pleasure to preview Talbots---it's always in a well lit room, calm...and we can take our time admiring the details as well as the overall impact of the design features we get right off.
They always have candy too ha ha ----though we are probably the only ones scooping it up besides the lucky employees. Thanks----
HIGHLIGHTS:
There were plenty. The presentation was organized with print media/delivery dates- and a color story in mind...
Shimmer Sequin Blazer $299
Evening looks-pictured above---with flattering silhouettes...classics never overdone. Obviously great apparel for dramatic bling. We loved the tones too---like green sapphire, pigment blue, fucshia, rich violet---jewels tones...and the fabrics were quality---with soft to the skin feel....including this well done sequin's frock and blazer. Flashy elegance- yet tasteful...not cheesy at all.
On a rack---we spotted this amazing puffer vest---in gray with a wide shawl collar that reminded us of pricier lifestyle brands... Loved this.
Some Resort wear---that should make those living in the Southern states dressed accordingly.
ACCESSORIES___
When InStyle---our go-to print read featured the brilliantly hued Talbots pumps---we knew the accessory line had come into its own...

Note---many of the above styles come in assorted colors and sizes are American sized, fyi---petites, talls are made as well etc. We hope they add sizes 0 and 00 for slimmer types with height.
