We read in the trades how sales of Pac boots (meaning the kind with quilted/puffy uppers) have dramatically increased this year.
A stat we did not visibly see played out in NYC where all winter boots got major workouts this year. From what we could see, hiking/work boots, Uggs, and Hunters dominated feet pounding the sidewalks.
It would have been more fun to see some of these new Fall/Winter MOON BOOT® the Original...in the mix.
FYI: An iconic product, these Italian designed kickers come courtesy of a company launched by Giancarlo Zanatta, who was inspired by the original footwear worn by the Apollo 11 astronauts that walked the moon--- back on July 20th, 1969.

TECNICA also has boots and new performance winter tough lifestyle sneakers blessed with the combo of technically pumped up materials and constructions---with serious helpings of European chic.
We prefer fur on its original sources...but noticed Tecnica has signature mountain boots "La Collezione" ($240-$500) for après ski with a lot of shag to it.
The Town & Country collection are well done---with waterproof Gore-Tex® or cozy fleece combined with the brand's proprietary TecniTherm insulation that can handle anything winter can dish out.
For men and women there are also lace-ups and pull-ons with comfy EVA midsoles, special footbeds, durable TechniGrip outer rubber soles, and various linings of synthetic wools, leather, Gore-Tex´ TechTherm Insulation---
