With new colors and fabric uppers on popular styles and winter specific cold-weather kickers, the very fun, laid back Sanuk brand manages to carry that chill California vibe right into Fall.
As always---everything we saw was not only accessibly priced----the comfort factor was big---with special cushioning rubber, gel or EVA footbeds---some with added arch support or non-slip liners.
Famed for their bumped up Flip Flop styles---the pretty distinct circular thong part of the beachy Ibiza series ($16-$36) gets new tones...and a new glittery choice in the beaded St. Tropez ($36).
Recycled yoga mats get re-used for more selections in the cushy Yoga Mat series ($28-$38) ...like the Yoga Serenity with faux nubuck and Yoga Spree (synthetic leather) in autumnal colors, and Yoga Mat Mossy Oak ($32)---a fabric in a hunter/camo print.
We like how the thong strap is tricked out with cool patterns..and new shades...and of course are Vegan/vegetarian-a Sanuk MO.
Fraid series with distinctive frayed edges----comes in new Fraidy Cat ($36-$46 men's) pastels with colored footbeds (mauve, seafoam and slate).
For guys---the slip-on Streaker----are kicked up in double stitched suede---in retro 70's tones and profiles.
The Sidewalk Surfers for women and men have lightweight "Vulc-Lite" footbeds with anti-microbial additives-canvas uppers and liners, and as we were told "...have a patented design and that's why they are not a shoe."
Fair enough----the houndstooth ($54) and cord versions are very cool sandals for mercury dips.
It might not get any cozier for travel than the new Pick Pocket Fleece ---appropriately billed as "Hoodies For Your Feet." (M-$65, W-$55)
Men get a very handsome herringbone upper and for holiday-a polar fleece contrast lining ($65)---in the lace-up -not a shoe- Shunami collection with its trademark "Shock-N-Ahh" dual density PU insole for maximum impact protection. The perfect back to school ready in June.
Set for the Holidays---hello "Sandal Claus"----for for gals the new roll up/down water resistant Standard Cutie Bootie (Chocolate/Khaki) keeps wearers warm with full fleece lining.
Guys/gals also get other fleece lined options---the Donny Primp, Vagabond Chill...Lumber Jack Chill

An approach shoe---the Vagabond Steppe has special evol TRAX Rubber outsole---with weather resistant upper, polar fleece lining...in hi and low profiles.
Actually, we would wear these afterwards too---keep a pair in the car as a merciful foot covering after a winter hike.
