EMU AUSTRALIAN AUSTRALIAN BORN, BASED & OWNED FOOTWEAR

PLUS: BACKSTAGE MAKEUP BY SEPHORA

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Inevitably the comparisons with the American owned Deckers’ brand of the decade UGGs…came up.

We never got on the UGGS band wagon…but every tweener we  know from the ‘burbs owns at least two pairs.

STYLE and CHIC were not synonymous with this brand that LA based celebs started wearing …and then BOOM…

EMU had a presentation at the huge Style 360 space…and we came away thinking that this brand has plenty of style and comfort in their sheepskin based footwear line.

But what we particularly liked are the super soft, nappa leather models...with/without exposed sheepskin edges. The curves of the boots' silhouettes...are elegant, not clunky.

Details like wrap around elastic lace closures or leather strap toggle closures, vintage metal buckles, wool ribbed cuffs, and exposed seams...bump up the looks...making them more than just a casual pair of kickers to wear with denim.

And at great price points according to a search online for the peds...typically--- $59.99-$165 for the HIGH FASHION Collection.

According to the Lookbook…EMU rules in five ways… (WE QUOTE)

Water Resistant Sheepskin.. Stay Dry and Stain Free

Moulded Heel Cup. Better Fit.

Sheepskin Lined Insole. Arch Support.

Dual Density Sole. Comforable and hardwearing. EMUSOLE™

100% Australian Sheepskin

Given that the weather outside at the time of the presentation was snowy, slushy…wearing boots like this are a given--- if one actually walks outside, sans town car.

We liked the high fashion and premium selections we saw.

MAKEUP: We met Sephora Pro Beauty Team Member Nathalie Bechard backstage as we really liked how the models looked…PERFECT!

Healthy girls,” was the vibe, and Bechard showed us the different bronzers (Guerlain for the blondes, and Lorac Baked Matte for the brunettes…all available at Sephora…that she used for that glow!

Peepers fluttered with DiorShow’s Extasé Mascara, exclusive to Sephora ($28) that has built in benefits and 3D worthy volumizer.
