COYE NOKES is one of those under the radar labels (and designers) that have earned serious ink in the trade press  ---as well as glossy women’s magazines.

This indicates knowledge---

AUDREY BOOTIE

===for those in the know…the ‘seen it all’ people in the biz who really understand (and appreciate)---the DNA of shoe construction---in this case, the Marché region of Italy----

---heaped on the praises of this second year collection--- for good reason.

It was a sparkling sunny day when we previewed the “day to night basics” for women---an exceptional assortment of “office with an edge” Spring and Fall/Winter 2010 samples.

Finely crafted with top-notch materials and precsiely applied details (subtle hardware, textile seams matched up)---a pair of Coye Nokes' peds SCREAM effortlessly elegant and sexy--- without being blinging obvious.

These shoes are obviously slated for high-end feet. And on- on trend women scaling a wide age range…

Think  FX’s Damages-we watched the season finale last night...and thought ---Glenn Close’s high power, richly dressed, ‘Patty’…as well as the aspiring ambitious, Rose Byrne’s ‘Ellen’---two well-attired, Big Apple lawyer/characters--- could both wearing a pair. Such style!

EVA SANDAL

And it’s obvious from these pictures…one need not be a shoe fanatic, like the talented designer, to appreciate. What may not be so obvious...the superb quality. So yes, one might be able to vaguely get the look for less, but one will certainly not get much else without buying the the real deal...including Coye Knoles graceful shapes.

We saw a terrific mix of embossed leathers, patents, metallics and suedes.

And much like Coye Nokes herself, an American who spent serious time in London as a retail strategist, the footwear has Euro chic, international silhouettes (pumps, ballets, peep toes, platforms, open toe and stitched booties, and a tall boot)---

Mixed textures are standouts!

… that will appeal to sophisticated women everywhere.

Various heel heights --- from flats to 3 ½ inch plus…are stirdy solid and the midsoles have springy cushioning for comfort.

So yes, a gal can feel secure that her high heel shoes will indeed go from a desk side setting to a swank soirée, without an SOS trip to a shoe repair shop.

We loved the color waves for Fall…a deep plum, turquoise hinted peacock blue, and a creamy café.

The Spring Collection is available now. Accessibly priced luxury brand, (starting at $295) we fell in love with the cork wedges of these chic sandals in rose coral and ocean blue.

And the fiercely stylish peep toe pumps are modern classics.

Multi straps, booties and closed toe sandals round out the very well edited collection.

We suspect that Coye Nokes shoes will soon appear in print more and more.

But why wait…after all; the collection is THAT AMAZING…one doesn’t need an accessories editor for the approving nod.

 Patent/Linen Platforms!!! Sumptuous.

FUN and FITTING: The shoe styles are all named after female icons like Jacqueline, Eva, and Audrey...
