We usually think of Bebe as a vava voom collection for modern girls who flaunt their curves. But the most recent outing of their higher end 'Black" Collection for Spring 2012 -at Metropolitan Pavilion- had the hair/makeup artists reaching back to the Gibson Girl's 1920's era-with imaginative coiffures and pretty pale make-up (no eyebrows here)-a nice change of pace. And ironically-an all 'white' collection of apparel.
The feeling of fresh, fun and flirty was original-DANILO really got the feel of the collection---really well---and although the wigs were fussy for everyday wear in real life, ladies wanting this look can use small rollers to achieve tight curls, brush it out, with a side part---then pin in up.
With every model in a white wig...the makeup was very fresh-"no eyes' meaning soft shadows, flawless skin, and no mascara. But then again, all the models wore oversized sunglasses....
The bronze/pink blush |
Soft and demure-the white/cream/ivory apparel was romantic in feel- not obvious sexy---with sheer organza, and intricate lace details that seemed summery fresh versus all the bold colors/fitted silhouettes seen elsewhere.

we liked this white anorak---a lot. |
