Anja Gockel is a well known woman--- and her eponymous label is sold throughout Germany,

Acclaimed for 'on trend' contemporary clothes for practically all occasions, the catwalk had many casual to cocktails looks--- that have international appeal.

As Gockel is a Central Saint Martins School graduate- and worked for Vivienne Westwood, she has a way with mixed fabrics (below, a classic blazer  with touches of red ties in with the sequins) and surprising combos of silhouettes, in one ensemble---that works as only the English typically can pull off.

In fact, according to the enclosed show notes, this attire is a return to the “eye for the essential,” and to ”find your own path in life.”

For Spring 2011 flattering sophisticated and youthful styles (lots of cropped pants, sequins minis)---all basic wardrobe silhouettes--- and, our fav--- bold prints---including an oversized giraffe pattern with a mod twist, and standout graffiti-like prints…were done particularly well.

Tailored daywear in linen and silk, gently ruched--- and a few cocktail frocks made of elastic silk-satins and sparkling with sequins, and silver--- we thought--- were the strongest looks.

We also like the brightly patterned flower print on what looked like a plastic material---used on a jacket was the prettiest rain jacket we’ve seen.

BONUS: Models with the MO to Smile.

Nice Touch---the traditional last look –a mash –up of nighttime formality beneath a fitted motorcycle jacket.
