Landmarc-Columbus Circle, NYC
New York Fashion Week, Feb. 2010
WORDs/Images Judith Ecochard
Overlooking Central Park, the Landmarc restaurant hosted a warm reception for the new to us European, former LA gggrrrrlllll label, SuperTrash.
Amused by the name, we discovered the line really is a season-less, fun way for gals who want to party the night away (and turn a few heads). The attire that had us thinking bumped up Bebe. Prices are in that Contemporary range---typically under $300 for outfits, and under $100 for shoes.
Helmed by two sisters...we chatted a bit with the creative designer sibling, an Amsterdam dweller-Olcay Gulsen---who clued us in on her MO: "super sexy not porn-ridiculous."
Publicist Lizzie Grubman and Olcay Gulsen
We think she go that right in a collection of dresses and separates working a Cleopatra theme...with lots of leather, hardware embellishments, sequins leggings, and skinny fit denim wear with bleached rinses.
Shoes/booties were stiletto high...a heel we see little of for Fall 2010. But really, a perennial favorite.
