ORIGINAL TATOO PRINTS AND MADKOOL TECHNICAL FABRICS=MOST EYE-CATCHING ACTION GARMENTS EVER
OUTDOOR RETAILER MARKET, SLC UTAH

When we attend OR---our brain is wired for covering action wear, not major fashion statements. We got both when we were literally stopped in our tracks at the Yellowman booth.
WHAT IT IS: Yellowman (headed by Prez Peter Mui), conjures up vividly edgy graphics ---in fact incredibly original designs (tribal, new skool, asian, graffiti, Yakuza, Buddhist Monk, traditional/contemporary etc.)--- served up by over 70 of the world’s top tattoo artists (male and female)…and slams the accurately rendered illustrations (digital imagery that falls on the body at just the right spot)---- on performance wear tops made form MADKOOL jersey fabrics.
Tech specs for Madkool lists all the ingredients we demand from our garmental gear…like moisture wicking, lightweight, form fitting, regulates body temps, flexible zips (where applicable), wrinkle-free etc.
There are cycling specific tops (longer backs with elastic gripper, zipper pocket on back)…and long and short sleeve crew neck separates that are gender specific.
We don’t know how Yellowman did with retailers at OR…we know we’d wear anything we saw at this booth as regular daywear with our jeans---which is pretty much our uniform anyway.
No wonder Yellowman has a brick and mortars store on the hip LA street -110 S. Robertson Blvd.
THE NAME: Under the concept that “skin color should never be a barrier against social status,” Yellowman founder Peter Mui blends his Chinese heritage with his down home Oklahoma upbringing to blow-up ethnic stereotypes. Hence, the employment of the derogatory “Yellowman...as “a badge of integrity and pride.”
Cool.
