Replenishing post workouts (the real kind of workouts)...need to be easy grabs -and a bit more bumped up than H2O.
Because there's only so much water that's inhale-able on a long run (or bike) without that sloshy stomach feeling.

There's a reason Pepsi's now retired, visionary CEO bought NAKED Juice Co years ago---as Americans eschew sugary non-nutritional drinks for just as tasty-better for you options. Half Naked Juices-Smoothies-pictured above in authentic Peach Ginger-is refreshing...esp. if one drinks it really cold! Non-GMO ingredients too. The total carb count of 33grams (27 of those sugars) from the replenishing coconut- watermelon-apple juices +peach puree -is pretty much what we need after multi-hour efforts to get in long distance endurance race shape. And stay awake afterwards. Widely available. |
We had no idea how much we would love detox water....with the digestive healer-and natural prebiotic aloe vera as the star ingredient. USDA ORGANIC...and fyi-perfectly slightly sweetened with organic stevia extract. This healthy beverage is delicious---completely hits the spot as a summertime thirst quencher...and we have tried practically every fruity flavor offered too. All yummy. FYI: 30 calories...packed with electrolytes and potassium, pantothonic acid, and some B vitamins-plus reverse osmosis water is used-insuring the minerals naturally present in the water ingredient- aren't depleted-like you are after all that exercising. Available online and in several mass market -grocery stores. |
Alkaline water has gotten a lot of buzz-as a better kind of H20-more (higher 9.5+) pH ...and able to neutralize acid in human bloodstreams (coffee drinker alert)-making it helpful to combat all that lactic acid buildup-in muscles post workout...and help maintain overall bone mineral density (theoretically). We aren't worried about osteoporosis like some advocates of alkaline water...but we def feel like this special take on H20- Perfect Hydration stuck around longer in our dehydrated cells to help well- hydrate better....and faster-vs the usual multi-hour process -on a hot humid day. Note: no added sodium, fluoride, or chloride-and made via a 9 stage filtration process! |
