Need even more proof that women buy shoes (and accessories) with a bit more anticipatory ease and glee- than say, apparel…?
A visit to Jim Villa showroom recently-clued us in on new to us female led- luxury designer labels made in Europe---that elicited big WOWs…for silhouette, craftsmanship and design.
Interesting to note-smaller brick and mortar retailers need to see these collections----imo, their footwear customers will have a new reason to shop.
Most styles -pictured below-are available now-but we think these are year round wears---as true premium footwear with breathable leather or sporty footbeds are practically impervious to warmer/colder temps.
Catherine de Medici 1533 is named in homage to the Italian born former Queen of France…who is cited as the originator of the high heels that the royals -men and women-favored.
Sensual and visual knock-outs-this wonderful collection-that literally stopped us in our tracks as soon as we got to the showroom- is made from premium materials-the styles are all elegant sexy silhouettes that flatter, and design details including signature purple outsoles, crown and doodle upper embellishments…unusual and timeless.
Upscale sport inspired footwear has been popular in Italy for a bit longer than in the USA…and the Italian based Susana Traca delivers a sparkling collection of ankle boots, wedges, cap-toe sandals that remind us of our fav river sandals-but with a lot more style-including moccasins, and gladiator multi-strap boots…all blessed with very shock absorbing rubber outsoles…function/fashion at its best.
SO FUN TOO! Great every day and travel footwear that would not look at a place at a night club.
Available in several outlets including Zappos.
