We skipped last season for some reason---but vowed to go to this outing...a good thing...and no surprise, all the editors, bloggers, stylists we spoke with following this show-LOVED IT.
WHY-impeccable tailoring ---in creative ways...retail ready---for modern, sophisticates fashion types who can appreciate looking like individuals without the apparel overwhelming the wearer.
Bonus Points-the fab specs video that served as backdrop -specially crafted for each designer-as was the music played...specific to each collection---all a toe tapping fusion of Korean traditional to hip hop/rock etc.

Bold abstract takes on cultural traditions---via black/white/red graphics---CHOIBOKO's MO---"...fashion does not dress the body but dress the soul." Comfy outerwear and slim silhouettes of tailored separates-the theme-Dances of G-ds"
IMO-glamourous, moden with a touch of surrealism that rmeinds us of some of Picasso's famed graphics.
Cres E. Dim ---by Hongbum Kim-conjured up the ame of his label from the musical term 'crescendo e diminuendo' ---CRES means getting gradually louder...and 'DIM' reflectively means 'getting gradually softer'...
The fav collection of a stylist we sat next to---we thought beautiful tailored pieces----with hint of the warrior...the theme= “Secondary Nature (aka) the collection expresses nature’s mystery with different methods using Technology (secondary nature) and inspiration drawnfrom Tokujin Yoshioka and Helmut Newton."
PLUS: The designer's fashion philosophy="to make it look like the naturally flowing river by making a shape, cutting , and putting color on it."
CHIC, elegant...classic.
Song Jung Wan creates practical, compact and sleek feminine silhouettes...with serious splashes of romantic retro thrown in-particularly in this sheer layered ball gown of flowing tulle...light and retro glam.
Lie Sang Bong-shows in Paris for a reason---his clothes are exquisite-made of the finest fabrics---reinvented into a collection that played on unique volume shapes---and often in strong geometric shapes---from head to toe, in some cases.
The thee= “Retro... as the collection reinterprets 1950 imagery combined with a modern touch.
The theme=“Unemployed Youth: Homeless Youth.... Drawing inspiration from the Seoul Station, the collection portrays images that are beautifully created with garbage wrapping papers, boxes and graffiti. This season, the collection is consists of oversized silhouettes, layering, and unusual material combinations."
