New York Fashion Week-@ MADE
Katie Gallagher's "SILENT SOIL" Fall/Winter 2012 RTW collection was inspired by ...and we quote from the run of show:
"The forest is a space that a city cannot possess...about bringing the atmosphere of the places that the spirit knows to the places that the body lives."
With the theme of nature, and the forest -in a "isolated Norse feminine world...and connection to the earth"-hair stylist and Creative Director (Dop Dop) ---Cesar Ramirez crafted the models hair in an intricately woven- twist/turning updo-that mimics tree limbs...with a "disheveled front...twisted to give the effect of patterns in the forest."
We thought-modern and edgy ourselves---with hair first straightened out with T3 hair tools- and Davines hair products.

...were actually individual nails...made for the show---! Then glued on and painted with gold polish around the edges.
We thought the best haircut we saw all week belonged to the PR rep of Cesar Ramirez-and think Dop Dop should be on every curly hair gals' speed dial....it is tough to get curly hair right without it drying all poofy/Jersey mall rat. This cut is flawless...frames her face perfectly-and is low maintenance too. BRAVO.
our fav-this crinkled leather jacket-shaped like a fencing jacket. |
