Baffin's take on this is in their T2R (Trail to Rapids) Technology with ventilated mesh uppers that breath, 2 layers that remove water--- channeling it, and air---to/through a third layer with a metallic grid that stops stones and grit from getting in...to an ultra light 4th layer light midsole that is cushioning too.
The Marsh series of dry super comfortable footwear- is made of 7mm neoprene and vulcanized rubber for all day/year round wear.
