L'HEURE BLEUE "Just before sunrise, just after dusk there comes a moment known as l'heure bleue; a moment when everything seems to slow down to a heartbeat and everything seems full of possibility..."

Fiona Cibani has taken Ports 1961 and made it into an uptown gal's label for polished, elegant clothing,
We thought the Pre-Fall 2011---(IMHO a retail motivated reference for deliveries of apparel that is at least three season wearable)...
STUNNING.
Signature prints, and metallic film and crinkled iridescent cellophane---went through a multistep process that resulted in illuminated colors digitally enhanced "with prism-like clarity onto flowing silk and diaphanous satin."
Beautiful---fabrics that are light as a feather and fit the body ---well.
Unique textiles---that had us touching just about piece on a hanger...
Metallic cotton and wool, "water-coated" stretch jersey, highly-reflective silk....
and "optically-lustrous lace."
The color palette was exceptional---not too gloomy winter dark or starkly tropical---hues appropriate for the global gal...
Down White, Rosa Pink, Viola Powder and Cabana Blue---
Hunter Green, Cyan Navy, and Umber Brown,
NO BLACK---yet, not a tragedy----we think the urban dweller will fall in love with this collection---the classic hints of draping are flattering...
Hallelujah a figure enhancing subtle hourglass shape...that doesn't add unwanted inches to a feminine silhouette...(where are designers going with that exaggerated ode to Mad Men--- btw---we think it will not sell all that well at retail).
Details/ trims---ostrich feathers and metal chains on the shoes---soft and hard touches---
LOVELY.
