RUSSELL SIMMONS TO BE HONORED BY JBFCS.org & SPENDS TIME WHERE IT MATTERS

We thought this was a cool thing to do...when Russell Simmons, co-founder of Def Jam, Co-Founder of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding (FFEU), and Creator of fashion lines Phat Farm, Argyleculture, American Classics...and happy dad--- spent a day with Rabbi Marc Schneier with whom he co-founded FFEU, touring two Jewish Board of Family & Children Services (JBFCS) facilities and meeting with adolescents that these institutions serve.

Simmons is set to be honored at JBFCS's annual fund raiser on April 21, 2010 ... a night with the theme MADE IN NEW YORK.

Simmons gets major bonus points for actually going out and hanging with adolescents of all ilks---who actually benefit...including those on the Break-Free Program, a mental health and substance abuse program that includes an alternative high school, and B’not Chaya Academy, an alternative Yeshiva high school for at-risk Orthodox girls.
