REBECCA MINKOFF: FALL/WINTER 2010 RTW Collection

FRENCH COQUETTES' ATTIRE, FLIRTY CAT EYES, SUPER SATCHELS

Chelsea, NYC

WORDS/Images Judith Ecochard

What would a Parisian gamine wear in New York, (or vice versa) is the theme for Rebecca Minkoff's terrific lineup of separates for Fall 2010.

There is plenty to like here...cute jackets and skirts--- including a plaid outfit done with a French twist---hardware details, double row button...and below in a short cape.

Day to night out separates ---skinny pants---in suede

warm sweaters, minis with leggings...atop spiky heels (pumps, booties)...make up most of the collection.

The easy chic is also seen in the outer warm pieces too...boyfriend blazers and motorcycle jackets.

---Minkoff has the flirty fun appeal that we are sure retailers are going to be ordering up.

Nice wool tweed with black inserts

OF course: the bags are key... feminine chain purses, fringed over size clutches, soft plushy hobos, satchels, haulers for the urban gals who all their lives around.

Also---the carry alls are the COLOR pop in the Minkoff girls' Fall wardrobe. Her attire sticks more with the neutrals we all end up wearing anyway...mixed up with a nautical stripe boat neck top, a Liberty like print in a girly dress edged up with a jacket with bold gold zips (pictured above)...and the aforementioned plaid that had us remembering Jean Paul Gautlier's plaid moments.

One shocker---- no scarves tied every which way.... the bags do all the accessories' talking.

MAKEUP & HAIR: Stila Makeup--- lined the eyes---with a gallic cat eye flourish (Kajal Eye Liner) with false eye lashes enhancing peepers at the corners and layers of Convertible Mascara. Bit lips courtesy of Cherry Lip Stain.

Hair is young and sexy with smooth loose locks or top buns with a bit of softness---polished and finished (Privé products)---but NOT DONE.

INFO: Widely available and E-commerce...should ship summer 2010.
