Beauty/Cosmetic/Skincare Trends
The number of attendees at skincare/cosmetic ingredient -raw suppliers trade shows has noticeably been growing since we've been covering this industry.
Big and small independent companies alike-looking for the next ingredient to make their products stand out in a crowded marketplace...were strolling the aisles-and packed the trend forecasting seminars at the go round of In-Cosmetics.
Highlights:
Waterless products have been around for awhile- our first LUSH bars' of shampoo/conditioner + popular bath bomb buys at one of their first stores -in Vancouver, British Columbia-was about 24 years ago.
Now fresh drinking water (and the lack there of) -and the industries that suck it up-are well known. Using less of this precious commodity- along with less non-recyclable-eco packaging-were two standout trends we hope become completely mainstream in the skincare/beauty/cosmetics productions.
A top pick for cool new 'thing'- at the latest In-Cosmetic trade show-belonged to a Chinese company, Jiangsu Jland Biotech, Ltd. -founded in 2015 and a joint venture of Aland Nutraceutical Group, the Nanjing University and the technology inventor, Dr. Yang.
It's booth might have been plain-adorned with a simple banner-but it was gathering quite of few excited humans -including media and spa owners-eager to learn about the REALLAGEN™ Collagen,,,a vegan collagen-Pichia yeast fermentation sourced, and multi-international patents' protected.
Reallagen™ comes in tiny balls ...literally-in eight different colors -3 of which we saw at the show-and snagged a sample-or in liquid formats (pre-mixed)-according to a brochure we picked up.
How to use the tiny ball...mix one with either water or toner (very little amount)...and smooth over the face, using hands.
Tests performed by Novitom show the efficacy of transdermal penetration (it sinks into the skin)-and promotes cell renewal and fibroblast growth (promoting youthful appearance of skin= plumping-firming-tightening-thickening)---better than "traditional animal collagen."
Bonus-practically odorless and it is good for sensitive/allergic skin types-the non-animal derived Reallagen™ vegan collagen looks ready to hit the marketplace by someone-fairly soon.
It should be acknowledged that China still requires animal testing of international skincare/cosmetics (hence the consumer thumbs down when NARS cosmetics entered that market in 2017)... so we are not sure this new beauty treatment is no animal testing-cruelty free.
