Ed Bennett Studio -723 Washington Street/NYC
EYEWEAR is (imo) as important a 'statement' accessory as the cliched 'IT' handbag--more gender neutral ---and face shaping---often- the first thing one notices about person.
The last day of the most recent NYFW (SS 2015)-we saw these spectacular specs-artistic and flattering- by GENTLE MONSTER- that had us craving a pro deal on the spot.
It was an invite to the "Selfish Eyes" photo exhibit at the Ed Bennett Studio- by GENTLE MONSTER-that got us downtown to this two level emporium - but really our eyeballs quickly diverted from the oversized images hung on the walls (by Ssam Kim, Art Direction-Ansoni) --- to the finely crafted frames that were on display Ć la a Victorian assemblage of artifacts.

There is a separate section for the special collaborations.
Hopefully soon, an augmented reality option that lets users use a mobile/tablet/laptop camera to virtually 'try on'…we've seen this on other eyewear sites. In the meantime there is a stocklist on the site…
FYI: prescription friendly glasses are available-we asked.
