Multi-tasking, natural (or better, organic), anti-aging skin/haircare -and men's grooming---new products…all 'hitting up' the big beauty themes for 2014.
At several recent trade and media events-we found a few brands that deliver on one of the aforementioned.
bareMINERALS® of bareEsentuals® is a major makeup brand…beloved by the world-for good reason... it's products deliver chemical free coverage that heals and hydrates.
NEW from the QVC bestselling makeup line: The Dawn Of A New Foundation---bareSKIN Serum Foundation...a liquid foundation with believable color matches…AND a skincare serum with SPF 20-all in one.
It comes with a unique brush that captures just the right amount and spreads the formula evenly/cleanly- a nifty hybrid between beloved kabuki and concealer brushes. We had our color matched and then applied on dleivering hydrating, lasting believable coverage that past the sunlight test. IMO-letmetellyou…no need for anything else…ideal for those wanting more moisturizing coverage than those best-selling BB cremes.
Extracts from native Texan plants-including healing organic Aloe Vera, Rose of Jericho, and Sunflower Seed Oil…forms the basis of DEAR CLARK's five products-Resurrecting Wash, Resurrecting Rinse, Thickening Balm, Smoothing Elixir and Finishing Salve-for hair---that bonus points- are all sulphate, silicone, paraben, cruelty, and gluten free-100% made in Texas with USA packaging---those facts goes along way to ensuring true quality of ingredients.
Aromatically-the natural essential oils deliver a truly lovely experience-in the products we tried (wash+rinse) -that work for our regular gal's hair. The labels and packaging are vintage looking-not fussy---and help to relay the natural leanings of the contents-something men will appreciate too.
The entire line delivers soothing hydration and styling protection…BECAUSE unlike a lot of other products out on the market-Aloe Vera is the first (and most plentiful) DEAR CLARK ingredient. Nice.
FYI: DEAR CLARK-last names of founders Holly and Kaycee, respectively-who operate a popular Dallas salon that we bet smells really good. @dearclark
False lashes could be considered a less toxic version of how to get fluttery peepers ---(?)...had us thinking about what mascaras are actually made of.
And we checked…so are very jazzed about the inspired by Japanese Harajuko culture---Dolluxe by Charles Reger's assortment of false eyelashes. Sold in pacts of one or three-with top and bottom lash options too--- they are really uniquely incredible. We can see why fashion backstage makeup artists LOVE. And yes, adhesive needed-but this brand's is formaldehyde free. And the lashes survive more than one use.
FYI-the company's wigs are big sellers at Ricky's @DolluxeUSA
NRDC = an environmental action group that works with businesses, elected leaders, and community groups on the biggest issues we face today and has a great reputation in terms of transparency and accountability. We like how they are working to close the loopholes of enacted legislation…designed to protect our most precious resource-clean, fresh water.
Juara is a huge supporter of this organization because they are active in so many areas including creating a clean energy future, global warming, marine life, endangered wildlife, pollution, safe and sufficient water, and fostering sustainable communities.
