Gear-Lightweight Daypacks, School and Laptop-Commuter friendly haulers-$29.95-$99.95 |
NYC
Established in 1920-Eddie Bauer -the company -
we guess---got the nod from the über trekkers of the planet-when back in 1963 its First Ascent performance apparel/gear-made up of ground-breaking components---such company developed down-
mission purposed, V-type laminated tubular construction, full-length Velcro closures (
wow there was a world without Velcro---which like Twinkies and cockroaches, we just assumed-got initiated with the dawn of time)...and nylon freeze resistant zippers (for the -85ºF Mt. Everest Parkas)---outfitted a bunch of American climbers (two teams) summiting Mt. Everest. FYI-the first USA ascent.
Respecting the climbers accomplishments=fused with its technical capabilities-the company imo- is grabbing onto its heritage and going for it-really making strides capturing the eyeballs of the now-a-days adventure crowd.
