Well- gallery invites sometimes remind us that we had a college education. Maybe.
MEOW---what a frolic was the opening soirée for the pop-up gallery for Sanrio® HELLO KITTY-as interpreted by artists and fashion designers. (see the sidebar for the open to the public info on December 14-15th).

We were all a-purr at this ode to the pussy cat that has taken the world by storm---with licensed merch galore for sale at a shop in the back (okay that part reminded us we have a marketing MBA too ha ha)---
ITEMS to love-Hello Kitty tea sets, imprinted candy (from the intoxicatingly sweet scented Papabubble aka "caramel Artisans" old fashioned shoppe across the street), sparkling vino and red/white Cal wines...to holiday stockings and decor that are must haves for that Hello Kitty worshiper.
Interesting-some of the artists took a rather dark side approach to the this phenomenon.

Lucky us-we were backstage for her Spring 2013 Show---and found her exuberant and benevolent spirit infectious.

We were so sugared out...2 chocolate dipped strawberries and a stack of those peppermint candy barks later---we had to leave for fear of a coma.
