In our youth (ha ha ha) when we traded commodities on the Commodities Exchange (at that time, located at 5 WTC)...we had occasional opportunities to buy merchandise from the ever enterprising elements... (criminal?---in retrospect it finally dawned on us)... that worked cheek by jowl with the rest of us on that massive trading floor. And for some reason-that included, at one point, these gorgeous Andrew Marc Clay suede field jackets with oversized pockets-trimmed in hunter green, quilted lining...that are so classic and well made-we still wear today.
Incredible. Meaning the jackets-not that some truck probably missed a delivery. MAYBE.
Anyway that trip down memory lane was provoked by our first ever visit to the Andrew Marc showroom back in October-to preview some Spring 2013 apparel and footwear from this contemporary brand.
Now a lifestyle label-we only SAW A FRACTION of the men's stuff- but easily, what impressed us making quite the impression- was the new to us contemporary
MARC MOTO line of casual cool guy denim pants, über comfy cotton tees,
too bad they don't have women's sizes---varsity/motor/NASCAR style race jackets...and color saturated footwear- a welcome trend that continues for another season.
