A sunny, one way mirror lined open inner courtyard at the newish Out NYC Hotel (aka "urban resort")...could not have held another human being...all attending what many consider a highlight of New York Fashion Week---

...the Spring/Summer 2013 presentation- of well liked and admired fashion designer Stephen Burrows.

these high waist trousers-flat front-gathered harem style hems---LOVE

We saw many industry icons at this event---including the always lovely fashion model Pat Cleveland---who has passed the torch- in a matter of speaking as her daughter, Anna---was one of the models of Burrow's very wearable apparel.

a classic 'disco' era look-reminded us of what Jerry Hall would wear then...and now

The whole scene buzzed with energy---including the models---who effortlessly posed on the pretty Christian Louboutin shoes/sandals---attired in well draped, easy to wear separates in bold colors- and solid white and black--- on wooden blocks---with occasional dancing forays down an imaginary runway...

swingy dresses and skirts flatter many body types

strategic cut-outs-a women's shoulders...scalloped hem on the jersey blouse=pretty

gathered waists defined with twisted belts- gentle folds that maintain the silhouette---deft hand with fabrics

wide waistband -on sleeveless blouse-wear out or tucked in...-dress on right has flattering side bias

soft beachy waves---hair was glamorous and realistic

Prints and solids---in fabrics that were handled with a skilled tailored hand---with the folds and gatherings falling perfectly---and strategically placed cut-outs-particualry at the shoulders...would look terrific on all kinds of shapes and sizes...

skirt moves well----then retains its petal shape
