Athleta and the Times Square Alliance are offering the opportunity for you to join fellow New Yorkers (and visitors!) to experience a series of free yoga classes in the middle of Times Square - truly in an effort to show tranquility is possible in one of the most frenetic places imaginable.
For the 10th year in a row, from 7:30am – 8:30pm on Wednesday, June 20th, yoga enthusiasts are invited to celebrate the longest day of the year with Solstice in Times Square: AthletaMind Over Madness.

Facts about Solstice in Times Square: Athleta Mind Over Madness below
The day’s activities include:
· 7:30am: Early morning yoga, will be taught by Athleta model athlete and veteran yoga instructor Drisana Carey
· 12:30pm: Bikram yoga class, will be led by Rajashree Choudhury - five-time winner of the All-India Yoga Championship and wife of Bikram Choudhury
· 3:30pm: Yoga class, will be taught by YogaWorks instructor and co-founder of the event Douglass Stewart
· 7:00pm: Sunset yoga class will be taught by Dana Flynn of Laughing Lotus
· Athleta will host a fashion show between each class featuring yoga looks modeled by Athleta’s New York customers
Athleta will be giving away 6,000 free yoga mats by providing mats to the first 1,500 people who check-in for each class. The brand will also be hosting a booth in the yoga village to offer additional activities, including:
· One-on-one yoga instruction
· Meet and greets with Athleta’s team of brand ambassadors to learn about Athleta performance apparel and NYC store events throughout the year
· The chance to participate in Athleta’s live streaming video
· And more fun giveaways!
