Lincoln Center, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week NYC
If there is ever a nicer designer who deserved the media frenzy that always accompanies every fashion show ---including presentations during NYFW---it is the well mannered, and very talented Norman Ambrose.
We have been to several of this high-end designer's presentations---usually staged at the St. Regis hotel...and thought it was about time for everyone else to discover what we already knew.
Sophisticated elegance skillfully conjured up, once again...luxe fabrics, polished finishings, wearable silhouettes.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Glamor of course ---and to make a pulled together ensemble that a woman could wear---where ever she commands an executive position...(and hair by Jordan M for Bumble & bumble/M.A.C. pro team make-up by Gordon Espinet=perfection too).
Or lovely tailored options for lunches with the like minded.
The presentation was jammed packed---we barely had time to say hello---but the apparel was stunning.
We are sure the Faye Dunaway-Network/70's references popped up in several reviews---but we think those adjectives fall short---as these clothes are classics that never date.
And since we know how well tailored the pieces are---there are the high end details that the audience does not see---
Like hand sewn hems, pockets placed just so with grosgrain details, silk linings...
