CES UNVEILED NYC PART 3: CES Innovation Awards+Eureka Park Start-Ups

Wellness and health, Hi Res Audio, VR and IoT devices...just some of the areas with practical products on display at last week's CES Unveiled NYC event...

Some (more) Highlights:
From a company founded as a spinoff from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology in 1996-QUELL is a drug-free, pain relief- retail product that sells for $249 that -we asked-is not reimbursed by health insurance...at least not yet.
Wearable Intensive Nerve Stimulation-is a beefed up strap -band-with electrodes-wrap around upper calf, click the button to start relief-stimulates the nerves in upper calf carrying neural pulses to the brain natural pain relief center...which then sends "endogenous opioids"released within spinal cord where pain signals are blocked in one's body. Not a cure for what ails (like arthritis, diabetes, etc)...but allows for less pain meds...based on study of 88 people. Very interesting. FDA cleared, Buetooth connection -easy tracking+control via smartphone. Plenty of attendees wanting to try this out!
