Optimum Salon Haircare Amla Legend Rejuvenating Ritual, a rejuvenating product collection infused with legendary Amla oil, an Indian oil used for centuries in India as a luxurious natural hair conditioner, was the official hair sponsor for the Edwing D'Angelo Spring 2015 Collection runway show. 

Inspired by The Tuareg people ("Bergers"), who are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa, Edwing D'Angelo’s Spring 2015 Collection celebrated the traditionally nomadic pastoralist lifestyle. The collection was 95% black with accents of gold and was full of draping, see-through materials, skin baring pieces and all around fierceness.

SoftSheen-Carson Director of Education Mezei Jefferson, who created hair for the show, brought the vision to life by developing a traditional, yet edgy look. Coupled with Optimum Amla Legend styling products, he came up with the idea to incorporate braids into each unique style, as they are regarded as a cultural trait of the African people and the cultural significance of braiding is deep and long, specifically for The Tuareg people, which paired perfectly with D'Angelo's collection.
