pleated skirt-is a work of wearable art

Fresh off her July 2014 Pret-a-Porter Sketchcolors Project Award, (impressive-we looked it up-there are over 1000 entries competing at this  annual competition that recognizes, honors and promotes legendary design visionaries and uncovers emerging talents in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design on global level)….

...fashion designer Katty Xiomara presented a colorful feminine collection of pretty day and glamorous evening wear ---- "inspired by the art form of a “chocolatier” which melted geometric shapes into organic forms."
this pattern enlivened several items…soft and dreamy

Hailing from Portugal-where she is a big brand…the designer's Spring efforts 2015 were just the right balance between modern edge and very wearable-all silhouettes with a real eye for details and prints…cleverly constructed ---by someone who clearly knows how to drape-sew together fabrics ---and how textiles flow against the body.

Always added pluses-the wonderful way with patterns-and solids-in geometric blocks or--- painterly watercolor  images- of the textiles (something we associate with this designer)--- and the top notch fit of the clothes on the models.

great dress---for work, cocktails---sweet peter pan collar is not to sugary when atop a sexy draped and belted frock.

Less looks shown on the runway…and with some accessories in the ensembles…imo…help with the overall effort. Which was really really good.

The finale dress was a collaboration with Nolcha’s sponsor, OtterBox, integrating the new “Alpha Glass,” a fortified glass screen protector for mobile phones…."elegant, refined, under-stated strength…" and very cool.
