GORE-TEX®'s techy fabrics and textile treatments have a large footprint on the outdoor apparel industry---with it's many permutations on the windproof/breathable/waterproof lightweight mantra widely embraced by makers of functional clothes, accessories and footwear.
The company's also makes a very popular line of
functional bike apparel---and is now putting a big USA emphasis on its running line of performance wear- aka GORE RUNNING WEAR™ Outfit Systems-an entire collection of..."advanced layering and accessories combined to enhance performance."

We actually are more 'sensitive' to what we wear in warmer temps during endurance sports endeavors---in the colder climes- it's easy to layer up-stuff pockets for what we need for longer runs. But when it's hot out to begin with---and then we're on the run---there's not much we can do to keep cooler besides get used to it...and it's hard to haul around the necessities...so we really appreciated the thought that went into what we previewed here.
Gore has designed interchangeable (imo) tops, bottoms, jackets and base layers broadly aimed at specific types of runners-urban or trail, sub-divided into the ability of the runner-fitness, ambitious and performance...and further sub-divided for different weather conditions/terrain etc.
Nice touch---the design elements match up the key pieces for each system...with details that take into account the realistic needs of a runner...
