Adidas-is one mammoth of a brand---we could probably spend a month reviewing just what was sold under their corporate moniker...

fleece lined-moisture wicking

And a brand that does not compromise on performance or style-as in, we doubt, for example---that the home kit of the USA soccer team-this year-would resemble the Lollipop kids from the Wizard of Oz...if they were conjured up by this label.

But we digress.

At the latest SIA tradeshow-we got a preview of one of the label's focuses...outdoor activewear aimed at hikers/trekkers/snow-sports individuals...who need protection against the elements, with moisture wicking/breathability/heat retention properties.

For starters, there is a lot of proprietary know-how and top tier techy fabrics-that go into an Adidas outdoor garment-under the Terrex collections.

It all starts with Adidas' "BodyMapping" technology-that measures-to the nth degree (or meter) the human form's gender differences/needs via different climate zones of the body...when athletic efforts are made under different weather conditions.

The results-are the inventive use of different materials and details to maintain optimum body core temps keeping in mind the best textile/design combos available on the market- for ventilation, thermal insulation, windproof/waterproof (or not)---needs by men and women- in all weather conditions.

Figuring out the attire solutions for "...why men sweat uphill and women chill..." SOLUTION-guys get more materials that vent moisture and heat-gals get more materials that vent moisture and retain the heat. Lightbulb moments in time,
