Part One : Travel
Much has been scribed about millennials spending $/time on experiences vs stuff-but we think that's true of every generation...and has more to do with personal awareness, overall health economic status, and values-not age.
Nevertheless- it's obvious that companies providing goods and services are pitching differently to that 18-35 demographic...embracing the transparency-clean ingredients-wellness- self care mantra including welcoming doses of environmental responsibilities (carbon -neutral emissions, recyclable packaging, sustainable sourcing, eschewing toxic substances-regulated or not).
As the world has gotten smaller in a way-so much so- reservations are a go on SPACEX to get off it -maybe a scouting mission due to climate change...
Travel agencies are exchanging itineraries that explore far flung locations, adrenaline physically challenging adventures... and plain ole' fly and flop vacays for WELLNESS options that even the Yoga phobic might inhale on.
A definition of luxury for sure (for some)=self care.
Adventure trekkers' founded Mt Sobek adds to their "transformative journeys" with a slew of small group or custom trips that embrace 'the practice' of early AM sun salutations with other activities like kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding ---in beautiful nature loaded locales.
From multi-days trips that stay closer to home (a Sonoran Dessert Meditation & Yoga Retreat)...to the lush surrounds of Southeast Asia and Bali..."body and soul soothing" meditative hours are combined with options to rack up heartbeats, and to sight see-explore unique environments that make the plane ride so worth it.
Added PLUS-there's enough active options....that even an anti-Yoga person that finds that stuff boring can still travel with a Yoga adherent peacefully.
Another hiker leaning travel company G Adventures -that has considerably expanded beyond its backpackers' routes...also offers trips under the WELLNESS category with the mission of helping one "...return home feeling even better than when you left..." (Note: the point of travel vacays period imo).
SO YES...buzzwords like "inner peace"..."active recovery"..."self discovery" get thrown around a lot = clichés... but can also have meaning when describing travel tours that mange to connect the dots, enjoyably for busy people-with the desire to comfortably explore the physical world and then some...without the time to plan it all.

So much so-it's already a punchline.
