NYFW F/W 2018 Marcel Ostertag

Spring Street Studios NYC

Sometimes we go to a runway show-and leave the run of show-the 411 on the collection inspiration...for later-curious as to what comes to mind-before we get clued into the designer's thoughts.

meow-pussycat bows with sparkling feline print---70s vintage style-homage to YSL
For Marcel Ostertag...a designer seen years ago during Berlin's-based fashion week...it was obvious from the opening musical notes-that production values were top notch.

our fav...!!!

overalls/jumpsuit hybrid---we used to wear something like this in middle-school without the expert styling, of course. Love the sparkling short sleeve underneath. FUN.

(Always a positive).

cozy faux fur wrap coats...

Clothing wise-we loved the mix-up of fun trendy wearable pieces (we thought of 80s' Fiorucci NYC), the hue orange and sparkling animal-leopard print fabrics, and color block cozy knits as fav pieces.

Turns out-the collection -dubbed OPIUM...is in homage to Yves Saint Laurent (and his iconic perfume)-with 60's-70's homage-in some of the silhouettes.

Definitely delivered-mix-up of playtime-worktime-party time options.

BONUS-the designer's collab with German brand Tamaris...shoes/carry-alls.
