Easy wear separates with a dose of swagger sans the drama …is MO of the Generra presentation we got for S/S 2010.

With guys lined up on one side of a giant wall, and the gals on another, the largely neutral tone (beige, khaki, pale gray, dusyu blue) hit all the right notes…a solid debut for the new design director Swain Hutson, formerly of menswear label Obedient Sons.

Women get lots of lean looks that can punch up what we already have---including some wearable hip skirts, gentyly gathered at the waist with pockets ---pull ons too!

A skinny rib tank with wide leg trousers…is a uniform we'd live in.

Some dress up, dress down dresses including a charcoal silk cotton dolman sleeve dress…all well done.

WE LOVE THE POCKETS

Menswear top picks include cotton linen blazers and shirts,

…decent shorts that fit well and are long enough…

A black oil nappa leather vest is a staple to throw on top of anything.

Even this casual line had a luxe feel---we really like these twill slim pants

Generra reminds us of what Banana Republic used to be-way back…a modern label that reworks the basics into something any hipster would wear-whether traveling or staying put.
