ff The Runway Influences:
Those catwalk and presentation shows that cobble up 6-8 weeks of media coverage-two times a year-serve as indicators for what's trending-in many different industries.
True...many companies subscribe to the same color forecasters...but also- it's creative visual types-who are smart thoughtful, insightful and arty ...soak up inspirations from many areas.
Travel, art exhibits, a book, a political awakening (movement)...sparks can ignite from within and in reaction to outside stimulation.

Ecru New York's 'editorial' hairstyle and makeup for Flying Solo designer collective of 200(!!!!) looks-may require a hair stylist to pull-off but is very "street' wearable.
Led by Creative Director, Lisa Lobosco, the retro, ‘50s Vogue editorials with an architectural feel=inspiration-translated into polished high, sleek buns positioned at the top of the head-with flyaways banished via Setting Spray and Sunlight Finishing Spray Max. The finishing touch was precisely placed flesh-colored tulle draped over the face and up over the hair, billowing from behind the bun.

For home design-runway influences= expansion of neutral color palettes- from black-white-beige-into richer neutrals like terrazzo, and royal purples- blues-with deeper colors-(not pastel takes like some runway makeup)...in clean-non-cluttered spaces.
Not seen: Big splashy patterns-florals or geometric abstract expressionistic-like in prior years. Interesting-every home purchaser we know under the age of 40- want brand newly constructed spaces-or are renovating older spaces with really clean modern updates.
Overseas-there is a resurgence of the Victorian British Arts and Crafts-Gothic clutter knick knack design aesthetic...but imo not going to translate into mainstream (quite yet, anyway-not until the Downton Abbey Highclere Castle set dominates film screens in September).
